Ollie Couther

Ollie L. Couther Jr. was born January 21, 1944 in the city of Norfolk, Virginia to the late Ollie L. Couther and Virginia Lee of Norfolk Va.

Ollie Jr. loved fishing, working on cars and in his retirement years he enjoyed fixing tv’s, bikes and other broken appliances that the neighbors needed repaired.

He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High of Norfolk Va. He worked at Globe Iron Steel factory for many years.

In addition to his parents, Ollie was preceded in death by his brother Willie Edward Couther, Grant L. Woodard and Martin Couther. Ollie was also preceded in death by his sisters Barbara Shipp, Ann Hill, Vivian Skinner and son Maurice “Reese” Williams

He leaves with fond memories his son Lionel Hicks, daughter April Privott and son Rayquan Graves, his brothers William S. Woodard, Wilbert Lee, Oliver S. Couther, Calvin Couther and Donald Couther

Ollie also leaves in fond memory many grandkids, nieces and nephews, cousins and longtime friends. His spirit will endure forever.
