Mamie Louise Reid

Mamie Louise Reid entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. She was born to the late John Alfred Riddick and Lethia Alberta Riddick; the oldest of their six children. Louise was predeceased by her husband Thomas Michael Reid Sr., one son Corey Riddick and her brother John A. Riddick Jr.

Louise was a loving and devoted wife and mother, a loving and kind grand mother, great grand mother, sister, aunt and friend. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Oak Grove Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. In her later years, she united with Solid Rock Baptist Church, Chesapeake, where she served faithfully until her health began to fail. She was a devout believer who always put God first.

Mamie Louise Reid leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, two sons; Thomas Michael Reid Jr. (Gail) of the U.S. Army and Marcus Lamont Reid of Chesapeake; two brothers Anthony Riddick of Chesapeake and Michael Riddick (Renae) of Norfolk; four sisters Sheila Riddick of Chesapeake, Arcelia Riddick of Whaleyville, VA, Willie Mae Butts of Portsmouth and Priscilla Kersey of Maryland; 8 grand children, 5 great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
