Norbert Cassada

Norbert D. Cassada, known to many as "Phil" or "Fella" passed away Monday, March 7, 2016. He was born in Reidsville, North Carolina but grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

After trying his hand working the oil fields in Wyoming in the early 80's, which he enjoyed very much, he eventually settled back in Virginia Beach. While there, he extended his family with Lisa Stephen to 3 extremely handsome boys; he would always say, "I don't know how to make ugly kids."

Fella started a small construction company in the late 80's, early 90's with friends but his thirst for success led to him becoming an Executive Realtor in the Virginia Beach area. Fella had a devoted love for his 3 sons and 3 grandchildren as well as for all of his family.

He also loved watching Western movies, NASCAR racing, and his impressive collection of music. He will forever be remembered for his strong opinionated, outspoken, over the top sense of humor, as well as a mentor and good friend to many in his large circle of friends.

Norbert was predeceased by his sister, Charlene Fleet.

He leaves to cherish his memories - his three sons: Shane Stephen of New York, Anthony Stephen of Virginia Beach, & Daniel Stephen of New York; three grandchildren: Nathan, Kaylee, & Karma; one sister: Sonya Miller of Colorado; one niece: Nikole (Joe) Shauer; one great nephew: Anthony; and four great nieces: Lydia, Mariah, Leah, & Elizabeth of Indiana. He is also survived by his cousins in North Carolina, the mother of his three sons, Lisa Stephen, and his long time companion, Anita Coakley.
