Russell Lee Chesson

Russell Lee Chesson departed this life on June 20, 2021 at Norfolk Health and Rehabilitation Center

Rusell was born on June 24, 1948 in Roper County, NC, to the late Elmer Chesson Sr. and Mary Chesson. He is preceded in death by his brother Elmer Chesson Jr., daughter BeKena Chesson, niece Cindy C. Brown; also two sister in laws Brenda and Jackie Chesson.

Russell started his education in Roper, NC and was affectionately known by his family as "Teddy P" because he would sometimes sing like Teddy while under the influence of happy juice. Russell worked as a construction worker until he retired. He will be missed by his family and his friends.

Russell leaves to cherish his memory; one daughter Teresa Chesson;  1 sister Mary Knight; 2 brothers James Lee Chesson and Thomas Henry Chesson; two sister in laws Barbara Chesson and  Deborah Perkins; special niece Samantha, his grandchildren and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends.
