Mildred Louise Green, 84, transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 16th at her home in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Mildred was born May 8th, 1936 in Winchester, Kentucky to Reverend Robert and Josephine (Dunlap) Green. Mildred loved the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted him as her Lord and Savior. Mildred was a faithful member of Fullness Church where her Pastor was Reverend. Christopher Georges.
She worked in nursing homes throughout her life, in various states, including Illinois, Iowa, and most recently Virginia. Mildred loved to cook and clean. One of her greatest attributes was taking care of other people. Mildred had a kind spirit; she loved to laugh and smile. But most of all she loved her children and family. Mildred Green will be truly missed.
Mildred was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Green; sisters, Barbara Green, Ruth Burns, Reubena Davis, and Theodosia (Teddy) Jetter; brothers, Robert, Charles, Richard, Peter, Paul, Timothy and Gail Green; and her parents Robert and Josephine Green.
Those left to honor her memory are her sister JohnnieMae Julian of Winchester, Kentucky; and brother Nathaniel Green of Clinton, Iowa; daughters, Paula Mhoon of Flossmoor, Illinois, Dora Luckett of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and Diana Green of Chesapeake, Virginia; her son Blake L (Victoria) Green of Douglasville, Georgia; grandchildren, Jonathan Green, Christina Williams, Nigel Williams, Robin (Joshua) Brown, Jeremy (Ashley) Booker, Danial Green, Tiffany (Brandon) Little, Ronald Luckett Jr., Paul Luckett, Timothy Broering, Blakelynn (Jessica) Green, and Alisa Green; 13 great-grandchildren.
