George Goss Jr

George Milton Goss Jr, son of the late George Milton Goss Sr. and Sadie Bell Goss was born in Gainesville, GA on September 16, 1934. He was a graduate of Gainesville Colored High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He was also a former member of the Greater Timberidge Baptist Church.

George retired from the United States Navy after 23 years of service.

George was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Lucy Goss. He leaves to cherish his memories, his son Gregory Goss, (VA Beach); his daughter Sylvia Goss-Wright (Texas); (adopted); daughter Penny Hobbs (Freddy); 3 grandsons, Orion Goss (Ty); Craig Bowman; Sherman Wright (Wife); and one grand-daughter, Latricia Squire (Tim); and 6 great-grandchildren along with a host of relatives and friends.
