Obituary

Mr. Dwayne McInnis, age 62, died at his home in Portsmouth, Virginia, on Saturday, July 30, 2022. The cause was Stage 4 Lung and Esophageal Cancer.

Born to Edward Lee McInnis, Sr and Eares McInnis on March 1, 1960, in Norfolk, Virginia. Dwayne married his childhood sweetheart, Katie McInnis in 1989. He worked diligently as a
Pool Technician before becoming disabled. Dwayne was a people person and was known for dancing, hanging out with his friends, and always having a smile on his face.

Dwayne leaves behind his children, DeAngelo Brickhouse, Kanisha Seals, and Demond McInnis. His grandchildren, Christian and Jayden Fernandez. His sisters, Vivian Cooper,
Joyce Brenda Robinson, and Debra Yancey. His brothers, Dexter McInnis and Anthony McInnis. His best friend and brother-in law, Kenny Yancy. Along with a host of cousins,
nieces, nephews, and friends. Dwayne was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brothers, Ray McInnis and Edward Lee McInnis, Jr, and his sisters Mary Linda Robinson and Machare McInnis.
