Mother Della Jackson was born November 6, 1927 in the Queen City area of Virginia Beach, VA., to the late Enous Holloway Sr. and Della Cherry Holloway. She was the third of 10 children.
She converted at an early age and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Della was married to the late Roosevelt Jackson for over 33 years, until his passing in April of 1988. Into that union was born a daughter Rose Darlene Jackson Thompson of Chesapeake, VA; two sons Thomas Ray Jackson of Norfolk and Timothy Roosevelt Jackson of Chesapeake, one daughter in law Yvonne Jackson of Chesapeake; two grandchildren Billy Jerome Thompson of Chesapeake, VA and Alexis Jackson of Chesapeake, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Della later joined Bethlehem Pentecostal Holiness Church of Christ and was proud to be a sanctified, born again Christian. She was an usher and a missionary there for over 25 years. While she was a member, she attended a class session on Speaking and Writing for Church Leaders in December 1990 at Virginia Union University’s School of Theology.
After the passing of her pastor Bishop Henry Bryant, she joined Bibleway Holiness Church where she served as a missionary and church mother for over 24 years until her death.
We love you Missionary and Mother Della Jackson but God loved you best. Take your rest in his loving arms and may God give you peace in Jesus Christ.
