Daniel Gregory

Daniel Eugene Gregory was born September 5, 1983, and passed from this life January 22, 2022. He resided in the 3100 Block of Aaron Drive, Chesapeake, VA.
 
Daniel was born on the same day as his older sister, Tina. Daniel was affectionately called, “The Last of The Mohicans,” by our Mother, as he should have been. Daniel was the 10th out of 10 children. 
He was a loyal friend, a good worker and fiercely loved family. He was a regular guy. He had the same friends the majority of his life. He enjoyed old school hip-hop and sports. He often played pickup basketball with the fellas from the neighborhood. His free standing hoop got a real workout. Danny was also into video games, Madden being one of his favorites. He was especially close to his three oldest nephews. Janvier, Jarrel and Dustin. They called themselves the Four Horsemen. Horseman down. He was steady and true. He really loved his Mother and he proudly stated: She was his best friend. He was curious and bright eyed. He had doe like eyes and a wide grin. He would often ask a myriad of questions at break neck speed. Once the questions were answered, he would exhale and simply shake his head. Riding his bicycle, he was never too far from home. 
 
 Daniel was predeceased by his mother, Willie Mae Gregory; sister, Madeline Edna Collins; and maternal grandparents, Willie E Wilson and Gerard Wilson, Sr.
 
He is survived by his father, Marcus E. Jones (Barbara); paternal grandfather, Emory Jones;sisters, Marie C. Eldridge (John), Sylvestine Woodson (Brian, Sr.), Meredith Grandison (Varden), Tamara Davis (Reuben, Sr.); brothers, William Collins, Sr. (Phyllis), George Conway Collins, Timothy Laumont Gregory (Keesha), Sylvester Gregory (Robin). His uncle, Gerard Wilson, Jr. His special friend, Wanda Coffield. He also leaves behind a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
