Anthony Bernard Tobey Jr. was born on September 29, 1985 to the late Joanne Conway and Anthony Bernard Tobey Sr.
He was educated in the Virginia Beach and Portsmouth School System. Known by his friends as "Tobey", he had an easy going and light hearted personality with a love for basketball and football. Tony attended Churchland High School where he played varsity football. After graduating he enrolled in Vocational Training School under the Electrician Apprentice Program. Those of us who love Tony have known him by many of his roles in life, Father, Brother, Husband, Nephew, Cousin and Friend. Tony's ability to make everyone feel accepted, secure and loved was his greatest strength. Tony truly loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures, often engaging friends and family in spirited conversation. He had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and profound way.
Anthony Bernard Tobey Jr. is survived by his 3 children, Heaven, Angel and Elijah; his ex-wife Laquita Tobey of Richmond, VA, a brother Clyde Nelson of Chesapeake, VA; his adopted "aunt" Linda Jones Arnold of Chesapeake; a best friend Marcus Barnes and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
