Thomas L. Varns Jr.

Mr. Thomas Varns Jr. passed away on June 27, 2018 in Chesapeake General Hospital after a brief hospital illness. He was predeceased in death by his mother, Eva Dunlap Varns and father Thomas Varns Sr.

Tommy was a very friendly guy who loved being independent and on his own in spite of his disabilities. He would often be seen around town walking or at the bus stop going somewhere. He would strike up a conversation easily with all that he came in contact with.  It seems that everyone in Chesapeake, especially the Crestwood area knew "Tommy" as he was so lovingly called. He made acquaintances and friends everywhere that he went.

He had a special love for this mother and she had a special love for him. You could tell that he and his mother were very close and when she passed away, he began staying with his aunt. She cared for him for many years until his death.

Tommy will be missed, his services and his burial will be private.
