Susie L. Peek

Susie Lee Cutler Peek passed away peacefully on January 13, 2018.  She was born in Southampton County, Virginia to the late Milton and Ronnie Barnes Cutler on March 19, 1920.  She attended Southampton County Public Schools. She retired from Action Oldsmobile in Portsmouth, Va.

 She was a member of  the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Newsoms, VA, where she attended regularly until her health began to fail.  She served faithfully on the Deaconess Board. Her love  and dedication for her Pastor kept flourishing even after Pastor Roger Steele departed and Pastor Jeremiah Cole became Pastor of The Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.  She was amazed at his youth and dedication.

Susie was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Ronnie Cutler, her husband Charles Peek, Sr., two sisters Elsie Mae Green, and Alberta Sease, four brothers, George, James, Charlie and  William Cutler.  She leaves to cherish her memory one son Charles Peek Jr. (Junie).  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A viewing for her will be held at Fitchett Funeral Home on Friday, January 19th from 4pm - 6pm. Her funeral services will be held at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 28668 N. Main St in Newsoms, Virginia on Saturday January 20th at 1 pm.
