Lonnie Wright

Lonnie was born in Bronx, NY to Betty Clark and Billy Wright on January 14, 1983. He attended Taft High School in the Bronx and graduated in 2002.  After high school he got a job working for the New York Yankees.  He loved the Yankees and was a diehard Fan! He worked there for 15 years until he couldn’t do it any longer.  He loved sports! He also enjoyed watching football and basketball, watching movies and spending time with his family. 

It’s great closure for the family to know that Lonnie did not die alone.  The family would like to give great thanks to Joy Ford-Williams, a very special friend of Lonnie.  She was there for him during his last days on earth. Thank you!

Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jean Clark and Billy Wright and sister Eartha Lee Clark.

Lonnie is survived by his sisters Stacy Smith, Shaniqua Clark, Wilma Denise Barton, Renee Wright and sister-in- law, Melina Clark. Brothers: Robert Clark, Maurice Clark, and Billy Wright. Lonnie also leaves behind 9 nieces and 9 nephews who he loved deeply.  

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 18 at 12 noon. Public viewing will be held after the funeral services on Saturday at Fitchett Funeral Home, 1821 Liberty St.
