Larry Tyrone Washington

Larry T. Washington transitioned into eternal rest at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital on Saturday, November 26, 2016. He was born March 1, 1959 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Sherman and Dorothy Colleen Washington. Larry was predeceased by his brother Dennis Washington and his aunt, Vivian E. Hofler.

Larry attended Norfolk Public School and received his GED. He also attended Job Corps. He enjoyed cooking and loved eating seafood. Larry had an opportunity to work at Norfolk Tides Harbor Park until his declining health.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Dorothy Colleen Washington, and his brother Michael Washington of Norfolk, VA; his sister, Constance Whitaker of Virginia Beach, VA; his uncle, Willard C. Stewart (Shirley) of Chesapeake, VA; devoted nephews, Tyrell and Antoine Washington; great niece and nephew, and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.

Mr. Washington will lie in state Tuesday, November 29 from 4-7 pm at Fitchett Funeral Home, Liberty Street.

A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, November 30 at 11 am at Roosevelt Memorial Park - 1101 Campostella Road, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320.

Repast will immediately follow the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church - 900 Middlesex Street Norfolk, Virginia 23523.
