Marion (White) Morgan

In the final hour of January 3rd, just before the dawn of a new day, God summoned His angel Marion Morgan home and granted her wings for a job well done.

Marion Morgan is the firstborn child born to the union of the late Willie Mae and Rufus White She was born and raised in Suffolk, Virginia and was educated through the Suffolk Public School System. After marrying her life-long partner, John T. Morgan Sr., Marion worked as a devoted housewife and a tireless steward of the Lord’s Gospel.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Morgan Sr., as well as two daughters: Elsie Mae Patterson and Dale Williams.

She leaves to cherish precious memories seven daughters: Vera Ward, Audrey Elliot, Linda Rodgers, Vanessa Ferebee, Sharon Brown, Idonia Blackwell, Princess Morgan; and one son: John T. Morgan Jr. She also leaves two brothers, 150 grand/great grand/great-great grand kids, and a host of nieces/nephews, other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Ms. Morgan will lie in state on Friday, January 8 from 9 am to 6 pm at Fitchett Funeral Home, Liberty Street.

Homegoing Services will be held Saturday, January 9 at 1 pm at Holy Trinity #1 – 3611 Thorne Avenue, Portsmouth, Virginia 23701.
