Jessie Ruth Brewer

Jessie Ruth Brewer, loving daughter, mother, and grandmother, age eighty-eight, of Norfolk, Virginia, transitioned from labor to reward on October 3, 2016.

She was born to the late Robert Lee and Edna Beatrice Jones, on August 18, 1928 in Emporia Virginia.  Jessie was raised in a Christian home.  At an early age, she discovered and nurtured her love of cooking.  Jessie was also a talented and avid gardener, growing her favorite flowers and plants with a loving hand.

Jessie was preceded in transition by Siblings,  Charles Jones, Lottie Mae Jones, Jaonette Jones, Bernice Graves, Hazel Lee Jones, John Arthur Jones, and Samuel Jones.

Jessie gained her wings but leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Clint Brewer, (Denise), and Alonzo Jones. She also leaves her loving, caring granddaughter, Tiffany Brewer, as well as two sisters, Shirley Ann Avant, and Doris Clark. She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends. Miss Jessie will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
