Frederick Carr Holland

Frederick Carr Holland, also known as Freddie or Suffolk Slim, was the fourth child born to the late Joseph L. Holland and Doretha Jones Holland on October 18, 1955 in Norfolk, Virginia. Freddie left this life on September 22, 2017 to join his sister Linda LeVonne Holland-Powell, brother George Alvin Holland and Father Joseph Holland.

He was educated in the Suffolk Public System and worked with his Father and Brothers building homes and doing masonry work in the family business Holland construction.

Freddie loved to sing and would break out in song anywhere and anytime. He was also the family comedian.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Sally Mosley Holland, one son Frenando K. Holland (Danita); his special friend and loving companion Shelia Freeman; 2 sisters Phyllis Carter and Jerman Leggett; 4 brothers Joseph R. Holland (Patricia), Reginald C. Holland (Diaphine), Gregory Johnson (Tameka) and Jerome DeLoatche, One grandson Frenando Jr.; several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, September 29th from 5pm - 7pm at Fitchett Funeral Home. Frederick's homegoing services will be held on Saturday 12 noon at Fitchett Funeral Home.
