Davis Turner Jr.

On August 19, 2017, Davis Turner, Jr. departed this life. Davis was born April 26, 1949 to the late Elizabeth and Davis Turner, Sr. Davis was a loving father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Davis Turner served in the United States Marine Corp. He was passionate about his family, helping people and fixing things. He was a "Jack at many and mastered most". He loved to cook for everyone he came in contact with.

Davis was predeceased by his mother and father, Davis & Elizabeth Turner Sr., and his brother Samuel "Bo Jack" Turner.

He is survived by his wife Monique Turner of Suffolk, VA; three daughters, Teresa and Blanche Turner, both of Virginia Beach, Stacy Bryant of Chesapeake; six sons, Davis Turner III of Portsmouth, Clinton Madison of Chesapeake, Jacobie, Jay and JaAngelo Turner all of Suffolk, Craig Mozell of Portsmouth; three sisters, Ida Grice (Herbert) of Newport News, Ardelia Kidd (Willie), of Chesapeake, Pearline Brown (Elton) of Hampton; four brothers, Alfred Turner, Sr. (Emma) of Chesapeake, Jessie Turner of California, Chris Turner (Julie) of Chesapeake, and Errol Turner (Phyllis) of Florida; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Turner will lie in state Friday, August 25 from 12 pm to 1 pm at Fitchett Funeral Home, 1821 Liberty Street.

Homegoing Service will be Friday, August 25 at 1 pm at Fitchett Funeral Home.

Services of Comfort Provided By Fitchett Funeral Home, 1821 Liberty Street. Burial will be private at Albert G. Horton Cemetary.
