Anthony Elijah Owens

Anthony Elijah Owens, 65 of the 10000 Block of Chesapeake Crossing went home to be with the Almighty Father January 24, 2017. He was born on March 21, 1951 in Norfolk, Virginia to Elijah and Catherine Owens. 

He leaves behind to cherish and honor his memory: his devoted wife of 30 years, Mary J. Owens and one daughter, Tamara S. Owens. He also leaves four sisters; Erinia C. Freeman, Diane Johnson, Darlene White and Doreen White, one brother; David L. Owens, two aunts; Flarence Williams and Isabelle Roscoe of Norfolk, Virginia, one brother-in-law; Harvey Spellam along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Owens will lie in state Sunday, January 29 from 12 pm to 4 pm at Fitchett Funeral Home, Liberty Street. 

Homegoing Service will be Monday, January 30 at 12 pm at Fitchett Funeral Home, Liberty Street.
